Job Description:

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

Experienced support individual contributor that executes tasks that are both routine and not routine. Provides support for executive leaders and internal teams in the Environmental Health & Safety (EH& S) area. Supports continuous improvement activities related to improving accident investigation and cause identification processes; assists with implementation of new policies and practices designed to minimize the organization's impact on safety and environment. Supports area audits to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and quality of deliverables. Demonstrates professionalism, efficiency, personal communication, discretion, and independent judgment.

Specific tasks and job duties of the position that are required daily:

• Demonstrates Johnson & Johnson’s Leadership Imperatives and Credo in day-to-day interactions with team.

• Is required to understand and comply with the Code of Business Conduct, Company policies and laws that govern their activities.

• Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor.

• Demonstrates awareness and develops a comprehensive knowledge of EH& S regulations and legislations in order to ensure the organization and its operations are in full compliance.

• Ensure compliant documentation and timely completion of safety records.

• Support guidance and solutions for non routine complex EH& S challenges and questions.

• Support the management of routine data collection, analysis, and reporting to ensure continuous improvement of EH& S standards, while maintaining accountability for material safety data sheets and EH& S guidelines being readily available to all departments.

• Support EH& S related risk assessments on Facility, ergonomic and biosafety and implement mitigation actions.

• Conducts reviews of documentation for all Operations unit processes and ensures the maintenance of procedures, records, and reports for environmental permits, waste disposal, and hazardous materials handling.

• Perform EHS assessment within BU1 project and changes

• Support formal escalation processes to ensure visibility of risks associated with safety and regulatory compliance.

• Support continuous improvement in accident investigation and cause identification processes, and work with EH& S standard owners to address EHS competency gaps.

• Support implementation of new policies and practices designed to minimize the organization's impact on the environment.

• Schedules routine facilities, equipment, and operations GEMBA walks in order to identify and evaluate risk factors and eliminate potential hazards and/or hazardous processes.

• Takes ownership of personal training and ensures that all required training is understood and completed on time.

• Enhance a culture of belonging through trusting, divers, & inclusive relationships.

Additional tasks and job duties of the position that are not required daily:

• Act as Primary Contact for Operations during inspections and audits

• Acts as the EH& S Subject Matter Expect for Operations during inspections and audits

• Supports and coordinates responses to observations from audits and inspections.

• Provides assistance with EH& S-based education programs, from employee safety training programs to site-specific certification courses.

Minimum Qualification

• A relevant HBO degree with at least 3 years' relevant experience or an nonrelevant HBO degree with at least 5 years' relevant experience.

• English B2 language level is required

• The levels of computer proficiency are intermediate level for MS office, routine level for data analysis, and specialist level for business applications.
