Job Summary

  • The Project Manager of the Morpheus Program is responsible & accountable for transforming the EDC Courcelles facility, setting it up to accommodate 2025-2035 franchises Inventory/volume and migration to the MedTech Archetypes. Driving operation and cost efficiency thanks to appropriate equipment, processes and systems.
  • Part of that role is managing the project team (Operations, Deliver Engineering, Engineering & Property Service, Quality, Finance and IT), making sure that we stay within the project budget, delivering the project according to schedule, as well as doing the stakeholder management. Stakeholder management is crucial due to the complexity and high financial commitment of the project.
  • Part of the PM role is to prepare reviews and to present to senior leaders. In addition to managing the internal stakeholders, the Program Leader must manage all relevant external stakeholders (e.g. local authorities, architects, consultants). Another activity is to work closely with the leaders of interdependent projects such as LEGO and Transcend. The Program Leader needs to manage the site’s physical, technological and system transformation while maintaining at target the service and compliant distribution of MedTech products.
  • Furthermore, the Program Leader will be part of the EDC Leadership Team working on interdependent projects, anticipating negative externalities to the site and the business.

Duties & responsibilities:

Under and in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position:

  • Leads, organizes, coordinates and directs efforts of interdisciplinary team responsible for transformation of the EDC Courcelles Distribution Center.
  • Facilitates cross-functional teams to achieve the project goals. Interfaces with all necessary organizations to ensure the successful implementation of projects and programs.
  • Organizes, manages and controls projects, responsible for developing integrated project plans, timelines and resource requirements relating to supply chain and logistics. Coordinate project team and project resource & budget to ensure execution of the project plan. Owns the processes, tools, and metrics related to the project management process and adherence to these processes.
  • Develop & align Final Project Objectives with project team & sponsor, manage the production of the required deliverables & integrated project plans. Optimize strategy by implementing change management approaches to drive deployment & adoption.
  • Manage project risks, including the development of contingency plans, initiating corrective action, flag any risk to sponsor & steering committee in timely manner. Identifying and obtaining any support and advice required for the management, planning and control of the project.
  • Ability to conceptualize & shape supply chain E2E capability & service. Capability to format and create business cases, including requirements, definition and execution.
  • Connect, influence and communicate with all J& J workstreams to get a holistic view of interdependencies (e.g. process, resource, system implication between Supply Chain and other functions to ensure smooth execution of the project). Provide reliable and predictable project communication to Leadership Team and stakeholders.
  • Extensive stakeholder management across all global BUs as well as EMEA regional functions.
  • Establish change management process
  • Conducting end project evaluation (lessons learned) to find best practices for the future and preparing end-project report as well as official handover to base business.

Experience and education:

Required Qualifications, knowledge, abilities & experiences

  • Business engineering / SC / Logistics / Finance / Computer Science, etc. Bachelor or similar is required. Master’s degree / MBA or similar is a plus

Ø 10 years of experience e.g. supply chain / customer service / planning / transport / distribution, IT, engineering

  • Experience in large international corporation, MedTech and/or pharmaceutical businesses is a plus
  • Project management skills (FPX Project Leader certified) or other Project Management certification
  • Demonstrated successful implementation of complex projects with multiple cross functional stakeholder’s projects and budgets of > $30M. This includes creation of a business case, formulating a CAR including financial analysis (410B) and leading it through the approval process.
  • Experience in setting up and running logistics automation systems (Autostore, Shuttle, etc)
  • Experience in construction projects (e.g. building extension), working with architects according to the local regulations, as well as within the J& J required standards, is a plus
  • Continues Process Improvement, Process mapping, Six Sigma & Lean certification will be a plus
  • Professional certification in Supply Chain e.g. APICS will be a plus
  • Agile (Scrum) methodology / Waterfall (System Development Life Cycle - User Story & feature / Business simulation / User Acceptance Test) will be a plus
  • Experience in New Product launches (NPI) and/or Acquisition & Divestiture processes will be a plus
  • Experience in Order To Cash processes on ERP System will be a plus
  • Experience with warehouse moves / cold chain / reverse logistic will be a plus
  • Fluent in English
  • French is a plus
