About the role:

We are currently seeking an Planner/ Coordinator Machine Health Technician to join ourmaintenanceteam at our North Antelope Rochelle Mine (NARM). NARM is the United States largest surface coal mine and is located in Wright, Wyoming. The mine produces high quality thermal coal that is loaded onto haul trucks and then shipped by rail. It has approximately 465 million tons of coal reserves.

As part of Campbell County, Wright is a safe, tight-knit community with outstanding schools, and various recreational opportunities.

Job Summary

The Planner/Coordintor Machine Health Reliability Technician will provide maintenance support to mining operations through measurement, training and standards development and supervise reliability technicians.

Job Description

Required Skills and Expertise
  • Real time data analysis experience
  • Working knowledge of industrial mechanical components (engines, drivetrains, pumps, motors, rolls, shafts, bearings, gears, belts, pulleys, etc.), PLC/HMI/Drives, motor drive systems, motion control, vision systems, etc.
  • Strong interpersonal communication, prioritization, and organizational skills
  • Proficient computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office, SAP, Power BI, etc.) preferred
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred
  • Technical background in scheduling and planning, computerized layouts, capital estimating, etc.


Physical Requirements

Physical Requirements - Surface Environment:
  1. Must have the ability to stand for up to 4 hours per shift
  2. Must have the ability to be seated for up to 4 hours to operate equipment or vehicles
  3. Must have the ability to work from elevated positions, walk/climb up and down stairs/steps and climb on and off equipment and ladders
  4. Must have the ability to wear required protective footwear, hearing and eye protection, and other personal protective equipment as required by Company and MSHA
  5. Must have the ability to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions (push, pull, twist, handle), and have rapid reflex movements of the arms and legs and good hand to eye coordination
  6. Must have the ability to lift/raise 10 - 50 lbs. without mechanical assistance frequently during the course of work shift
  7. Must have the ability to work in extreme conditions, including but not limited to changing weather conditions, dust, mud, varying levels of noise from low to high, varying degrees of light and dark, in and around artificial light and in a confined work area
  8. The job requires that you be able to work various shifts (required shifts include days, evenings and nights with rotating schedules, weekends and holidays
