Job Purpose

Maximus has implemented Workday in the US and India. The next phase of this project is to implement Workday in the UK business. This role will work closely with the US and UK HRIS team and lead on the workday implementation in the UK. Working closely with the assigned UK project manager and team. The role will lead on the successful implementation of workday and transition from Cascade to Workday, ensuring that all reporting and processes required to operate the UK business are implemented in workday or identified and solutions sought.

This role requires a high level of expertise in project management and will need to understand the Workday system functionality, with an emphasis on strategic planning, process improvement, and change management.

Understand the interdependencies of the full end to end people process and systems and the appropriate system to support and leverage process efficiencies.

Project Management

1. Lead the project team and manage all aspects of Workday implementation projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, highlighting risks and providing solutions and mitigation and closing. Ensure project is completed on time, within budget, and meet the defined objectives. Manage each of the workstreams associated with the project e.g. HRIS, HRSC, Payroll and other key stakeholders to ensure each workstream is clear of delivery requirements and delivers project on time. Identify any risks, solutions and mitigations. Ensure the UK implementation is fit for purpose for Maximus UK business.

Stakeholder Engagement

2. Liaise with key stakeholders to identify business requirements, understand current operational procedures, and align project objectives with strategic goals. Develop clear governance and reporting cycle to ensure key stakeholders are updated and informed through the appropriate meeting cycle. Ensure US HRIS team and Cognizant are engaged and there are clear roles and responsibilities for each stakeholder. Understand privacy and data security in line with external vendors and US.

Team Leadership

3. Coordinate and lead the project team, including business analysts, developers, and testers, to ensure successful project delivery. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

Change Management

4. Ensure robust Gap analysis is undertaken to review differences between Cascade, Appraised, and workday and other systems and processes and any risks have suitable mitigations. Ensuring the transition from Cascade and other systems is clearly documented in the project plan and details of how processes managed through Workday. Understand integrations and data migration from current systems into Workday and ensure robust processes are in place to ensure seamless transfer. Develop clear user guides and accountabilities for user experience e.g. name change Develop clear change communication approach into the business so the experience for the end user colleague and manager is seamless. Develop clear user guides and top tips to aid the transition.

Reporting

5. Provide regular status updates to project stakeholders, including risks, milestones, budget, and progress against the project plan.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential

• Previous implementation of large HR system

• Strong project management skills with a track record of delivering complex projects on time and on budget.

Desirable

• Project Management experience/qualification eg Certification in Project Management (PMP,

• PRINCE2, or equivalent)

• Previous experience of Workday

• Analytical thinking with the ability to analyse complex information and deliver actionable insights.

Travel Requirements

Some travel to London, and other UK locations as required.
