Cabin Creek Health Systems is hiring a Pharmacist - Float in Charleston, WV. This is a full-time position.
Job Title Floating Pharmacist Position Class Exempt Supervised by Lead Pharmacist Supervision Exercised None Pay Range Experience Based Summary Cabin Creek Health Systems is recruiting a floating pharmacist. Position includes dispensing, consultation, ambulatory care, medication therapy management, use of a cash register, and the use of both pharmacy and medical electronic medical records systems. Duties are to be performed at all Cabin Creek Health Systems pharmacies (all within 25 miles of Charleston, WV). The floating pharmacist position is approximately 0.80 FTE per year with fluctuating weekly need. The pharmacist is guaranteed 30 hours per two-week pay-period, and up to 80 hours per two-week pay-period depending on need. Description Cabin Creek Health Systems (CCHS) is recruiting a new floating pharmacist. This is a great opportunity to join the health care staff of a progressive Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). Pharmacists are respected as expert collaborators in the interprofessional patient care team model of integrated primary care (IPC) honored at CCHS. At CCHS, you will have the opportunity to provide care to community members. As a fully integrated pharmacist and respected member of the care team, your ability to make an impact on patient care is not confined to strictly dispensing. This integration supports our mission to promote health and well-being to our patients. As part of your involvement in collaborative patient care, you will have the opportunity to participate in regular interprofessional teamwork in various activities including team huddles, operations and systems planning, and problem solving at regular staff meetings and workgroup sessions. Pharmacists also have access to peer support and collaboration via quarterly pharmacy meetings and daily consultations through online networking across sites. CCHS is the sponsoring agency for the Area Health Education Center and, as such, provides clinical preceptorships for health professional students (medical, nursing, psychology and pharmacy) and organizes regional continuing education functions. Pharmacists have the opportunity to supervise School of Pharmacy Pharm.D candidates seeking experience in the area of rural integrated primary care (IPC). Daily floating pharmacist duties include, but are not limited to: · Pharmacy opening and closing procedures · Data collection · Prescription processing · Inventory control · Full compliance with HIPAA · Customer service · Coordination with other healthcare providers · General pharmacy support Job Requirements The Floating Pharmacist position also has the following requirements: · A reliable mode of transportation · Standing for long periods of time · Occasionally lifting objects more than 25 pounds Benefits The salary and benefits are competitive.
