Part-Time Maintenance Assistant Location: Beloit, Clinton & Janesville, WI Area Employment Type: Part-Time Department: Maintenance / Operations Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor / Executive Director Position Summary We are seeking a reliable, hardworking, and hands-on Part-Time Maintenance Assistant to support the maintenance and upkeep of our CBRF communities throughout the Beloit, Clinton, and Janesville areas. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with their hands, takes pride in maintaining clean and attractive facilities, and is comfortable performing a variety of general maintenance, groundskeeping, painting, moving, and facility-support tasks. Because this position will float between multiple locations, the ability to travel between communities as needed is an essential function of the position. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Perform general building and facility maintenance tasks. Paint walls, doors, trim, common areas, resident rooms, and other areas as needed. Assist with moving furniture, equipment, supplies, and other items between locations. Assist with landscaping and grounds maintenance, including mowing, trimming, weeding, planting, and seasonal cleanup. Assist with snow and ice removal and other seasonal maintenance needs. Help maintain the appearance, cleanliness, safety, and functionality of buildings and grounds. Assist with facility projects and room turnovers. Assemble, install, or relocate furniture, fixtures, and equipment. Identify maintenance concerns and report issues Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in an organized and safe manner. Travel between company locations in the Beloit, Clinton, and Janesville areas as needed. Respond to maintenance needs in a timely and professional manner. Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Valid driver's license. Acceptable driving record and ability to meet company requirements for operating a vehicle for work purposes. Successful completion of a pre-employment background check. Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and move furniture, equipment, supplies, and other materials. Ability to work independently and complete tasks with minimal supervision. Dependable attendance and reliable work habits. Ability to work safely with basic hand tools and maintenance equipment. Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship. Preferred Previous maintenance, construction, landscaping, painting, janitorial, facilities, or handyman experience. Experience working in a healthcare, senior living, assisted living, or residential setting. Physical Requirements This position requires frequent physical activity, including: Standing and walking for extended periods. Bending, kneeling, reaching, and climbing. Lifting and carrying supplies, tools, furniture, and equipment. Moving and repositioning furniture and other items. Working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Operating basic maintenance and landscaping equipment. Work Environment The Maintenance Assistant will work across multiple CBRF communities and should be comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor environments. The position may involve exposure to weather conditions, dust, noise, cleaning products, tools, machinery, and other conditions commonly associated with building and grounds maintenance. Because our communities serve older adults, the employee is expected to maintain a professional, respectful, and courteous demeanor while working around residents, families, visitors, and staff.
