We are seeking a motivated team member who models the VHC Way, takes pride in their work, and is ready to lead others while continuing to grow within the organization OVERVIEW The Softscape Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all softscape installation and maintenance activities, including planting, irrigation coordination, and soil preparation. The role ensures projects are executed according to design specifications, quality standards, safety regulations, and timelines. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Project Supervision: Oversee daily softscape operations across multiple job sites; interpret landscape drawings and planting plans; coordinate with project managers, landscape architects, and clients to ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and according to design specifications. Support and help lead snow removal services as needed. Planting & Horticultural Management: Supervise and assist with the installation of trees, shrubs, groundcovers, and seasonal plantings; ensure proper soil preparation, fertilization, mulching, and irrigation coordination; monitor plant health and implement corrective measures when necessary. Team Leadership & Development: Lead and supervise 45 crews; assign daily tasks, monitor productivity, and provide hands-on training; enforce company policies and safety standards; develop team members through coaching and reinforcement of the VHC Way; establish quarterly performance goals aligned with company objectives. Quality & Safety Control: Conduct site inspections to ensure quality standards meet project specifications; maintain safe working conditions; enforce PPE usage and safety compliance; prepare progress updates and ensure accountability for workmanship. Material & Equipment Management: Coordinate plant deliveries and verify proper storage and handling; track material usage to minimize waste and control costs; maintain tools and equipment in safe, working condition. Operational Support: Perform additional duties and responsibilities that contribute to the overall success of the team, projects, and company operations.
