Description:

DHL Freight US/Standard Forwarding is a top-quality LTL carrier with 14 terminals spread throughout the Midwest. We provide overnight service within and between Illinois, Iowa, Wisconsin, Indiana and Minnesota.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Logistics Analyst. In this role, you will coordinate inbound and outbound logistical operations including order management, inventory management, packaging, warehousing, and transportation to ensure sufficient supply of goods and products at the lowest cost. This position is located at our Racine, WI location.

Key Responsibilities:

· Implement an optimized inbound and outbound transportation network.

· Optimize dedicated trucks, ports of entry and Cross-dock movements.

· Identify and implement projects at ports and plants that reduce non-value-added activities.

· Identify and implement project in receiving and material handling to improve flow and efficiency.

· Plan shipments and handle contingencies in transportation.

· Develop and implement processes to ensure actual execution matches models.

· Develop and implement corrective action when expected results fall short of model results.

· Develop reports to highlight our sustainability initiatives and its impact on the environment.

· Develop reports to highlight cost of quality in transportation and include it in total cost modeling.

· Develop standard reports to measure transit times with statistical analysis to ensure optimum planning parameters.

· Ensure supplier and carrier Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) are evaluated every week and corrective actions implemented

· Identify and implement continuous improvement projects (Kaizens) to drive cost savings, process, and service level improvements.

· Follow the lean manufacturing methods while implementing transportation projects

Skills / Requirements:

· Minimum 3 or more years of logistics or planning experience in a transportation/logistics environment

· Ability to utilize advanced Kaizens project management methodologies

· Proficiency in Microsoft office suite of tools (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) and SharePoint.

· Excellent written and oral communication skills

· Bachelor’s Degree or combination of education and experience
