Work Schedule:

Full-time, 100% FTE, day shift. Monday - Friday between the hours of 8: 00am - 4: 30pm, no weekends required. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

We are seeking an Inpatient Social Work Supervisor to:
  • Provide clinical and operational support to practitioners servicing Adult Inpatient, Emergency Department, and Children's Hospital patient populations.
  • Provide real-time and continuous staff support, including first-line escalation support of complex needs, case consultation, and education.
  • Engage actively in project and improvement-oriented efforts to enhance Social Work practice at UW Health and across the care continuum.
  • Provide staff education, facilitate onboarding and orientation activities, support Social Work professional development, monitor performance standards and metrics, and evaluate and maintain Social Work competencies across the system.

Education:

Minimum - Master's degree in Social Work

Work Experience:

Minnimum - 3 years post-Master's social work experience

Preferred -
  • 3 years post-Master's social work experience in a health care setting
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience
  • Experience working with persons in area of specialty

Certifications:

Minimum - Licensed in the State of Wisconsin with one of the following:
  • Certified Advanced Practice Social Worker (CAPSW)
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
  • Certified Independent Social Worker (CISW)

Preferred - Certified Clinical Social Worker in area of specialty
