Description:
Work Schedule: 80% FTE, day shift. Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8: 00 AM - 5: 00 PM. Hours are based off the operational needs of the department. You will work at the University Hospital located in Madison, WI.

We are seeking a
Registered Nurse to:
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide high quality, compassionate and comprehensive care to adult patients with sickle cell disease.
- Establish goals and strategies for meeting the continuing needs of patients.
- Provide care coordination and follow up on care plans with a focus on symptom management.
- Develop trusting relationships with patients with sickle cell disease and their families and provide support in overcoming barriers to care.
- Assist with program development and ensure sustainability through data collection/analysis and outcome evaluation.
- Incorporate changes in practice to reflect new advances and evidence-based interventions.
- Support community outreach interventions and educational efforts to help serve more patients and reduce stigma of the disease.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Preferred
Work Experience
- 2 years of relevant nursing experience Required
- Experience in teaching patient and families Required
Licenses & Certifications
- Registered Nurse, Licensed in the State of Wisconsin Required
- BLS Required
