Work Schedule:

90% FTE, day/evening shifts, Monday - Friday between 7: 00am - 8: 00pm with 8/10/12 hour shifts and a Saturday shift rotation. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department. You will train and work at University Hospital and then transition to Eastpark Medical Center, our new state-of-the-art facility on the east side of Madison, once it opens in Fall 2024.

We are seeking a Registered Nurse to:
  • Join a team of REMARKABLE nurses in the specialized practice of clinical research nursing at UW Health, where experts seek to find better ways to prevent, diagnose and treat diseases. The patients we care for are often among the first in the world with access to promising new treatments.
  • Care for adult outpatients participating in research studies across multiple disciplines; primarily hematology/oncology.
  • Assist with research study protocol implementation.
  • Become a member of the Clinical Research Unit (CRU) Council and discover opportunities for professional development and leadership.

The UW Health Eastpark CRU is a dedicated research facility that serves both investigator-initiated and industry studies. The CRU mission is to create a research unit that provides participant and family centered care, demonstrates exemplary professional practice, and provides quality data and research resources.

Education:
Minimum - Graduate of a school of nursing

Work Experience:
Minimum - Six (6) months recent relevant clinical experience

Licenses and Certifications:
Minimum - Registration as a professional nurse in the State of Wisconsin & CPR. Must obtain ACLS certified within one (1) year of hire.

Eastpark Medical Center - UW Health's new state-of-the-art ambulatory facility will transform the patient experience and offer cutting-edge proton therapy. This 469, 000-square-foot ambulatory facility will house many specialties, including women's complex care, adult cancer care, advanced imaging and laboratory services and innovative clinical trials. It will be located across from East Madison Hospital on Eastpark Dr. and is slated to open in fall 2024.
