We are seeking a Clinical Pharmacist - Pediatrics to:
  • Provide pediatric medication therapy management services as part of the interdisciplinary team to patients on inpatient services to assure that drug therapy is safe, effective, efficient, and cost-effective.
  • Participate in the bedside management of medical emergencies with a focus on drug selection, preparation, procurement, documentation and history.
  • Provide training and education to Pharmacy Residents and PharmD students through practical and didactic experiences.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary patient care rounds, medication reconciliation, medication therapy monitoring, medication orders management, patient education, drug information, drug dosing, and various scholarly activities.
  • Contribute to pharmacy practice through development of clinical practice guidelines, order sets, and practice protocols.


The ideal candidate will have inpatient pediatric experience and board certification or PGY2 pediatrics specialty.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or a PharmD degree Required
  • Completion of an ASHP Accredited Residency training program Preferred


Work Experience

  • Required 1 year of clinical patient care and orders management experience or ASHP accredited residency
  • Preferred 3 years of institutional experience (hospital or integrated health system) or completion of an ASHP accredited residency training program


Licenses & Certifications

  • Licensed to practice pharmacy in the State of Wisconsin within 90 Days Required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 Days Required
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 180 Days Required
  • Certification through the appropriate certifying program (Board of Pharmacy Specialties Preferred
