Tri-State Dialysis is hiring a Dialysis LPN in Platteville, WI. This is a full-time position.
Tri-State Dialysis is a growing company based in Dubuque Iowa with locations in Dubuque IA, Manchester IA, Platteville WI and Richland Center WI. We are seeking a full-time Dialysis LPN to join our team at our Platteville, WI location. This position provides professional nursing care for patients in the dialysis unit and/or in the hospital. This position will work Monday, Wednesday, Friday in clinic. Essential Duties: Essential job duties for this position include the following items. Other duties must be performed as assigned or required. ? Utilize nursing knowledge and skills in the safe implementation of basic preventative therapeutic and rehabilitative nursing care of assigned patient/family as evidenced by documentation and observation of positive patient care outcomes. ? Perform delegated independent nursing functions using established policies, procedures and standards as observed by the RN. ? Review patients records, clinician orders and patients condition, observe patients for changes in condition. ? Follow the treatment plan established for the assigned dialysis patient. ? Perform clinical procedures, including needle insertion and central line catheters, in accordance with established procedures and standards of care. ? Administer heparin according to patients established need or when necessary, take clotting time to establish more appropriate dosage of heparin. ? Administer medications and solution with accuracy and document response in medical record. ? Draw blood for laboratory specimens on a regular basis according to protocol of unit so that patients status may be evaluated. Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, the Dialysis LPN must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the minimum knowledge, skills and ability required. Education/Experience: ? Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing for Licensed Practical Nurses. ? Minimum one year of professional nursing experience preferred; Medical/surgical, hospital, chronic illness, critical care and/or community health experience preferred. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: ? Must be a licensed LPN with an active license to practice in the state of Iowa and/or Wisconsin. ? Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required. ? Mandatory Reporter Certification required. ? Will validate advanced specialized knowledge through certification by the appropriate organization. ? Valid Drivers License and proof of insurance- required.
