Job Summary: The Senior Manager of Email Strategy is responsible for leading a team in the development and execution of comprehensive email marketing strategies that enhance customer engagement, drive conversions, and optimize the overall customer journey. This role oversees email campaign management, customer segmentation, and life-cycle journey mapping leveraging Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) and Data Cloud to deliver personalized and impactful email experiences. The Senior Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams to align email strategies with broader business objectives and ensure seamless integration across all touchpoints. As a team leader, this individual will mentor, guide, and manage a team of email marketing professionals and Salesforce Marketing Cloud admins, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.

  • This will be a remote role. Ideal candidates will be located in the WI or IL area.


Compensation Information:

  • Annual salary range of $100, 000-$105, 000 with a defined annual incentive plan.


What you'll do:

  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of marketing automation professionals providing strategic direction and fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Data Cloud: Oversee the strategy and implementation of both platforms to enhance data-driven marketing efforts.
  • Email Strategy Development: Design and implement data-driven email marketing strategies that align with the company's goals, focusing on improving customer engagement and driving conversion rates.
  • Customer Journey Mapping: Develop and manage complex life-cycle customer journey maps to identify key touchpoints, utilize real-time data triggers, and optimize the customer experience through targeted email communications.
  • Campaign Management: Oversee the planning, execute on, and optimization of email campaigns, including promotional, transactional, and automated emails.
  • Segmentation and Personalization: Utilize Data Cloud to create targeted email segments; delivering personalized content to enhance engagement.
  • Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyze key performance metrics (e.g., IP health, open rates, click-through rates, conversions) to assess campaign effectiveness and inform strategy adjustments.
  • Collaboration: Work with marketing, design, sales enablement, and data teams to ensure email content is aligned with brand guidelines, visual standards, and strategic objectives, including but not limited to lead generation and growth marketing.
  • A/B Testing: Conduct A/B testing on email content, subject lines, and design to optimize performance and implement best practices.
  • Compliance: Ensure all email communications comply with relevant regulations, including CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and other data protection laws.
  • Resource Management: oversee the workflow of the email development team, leverage project management tools (e.g., Aprimo) to ensure projects stay on-task and resources are effectively managed.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in email marketing, with a focus on strategy and customer journeys.
  • Proven experience leading and developing a team in an email marketing function
  • Proven track record in developing and managing email marketing strategies, customer segmentation, and analytics/reporting.
  • Strong expertise in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Data Coud, and Journey Builder.
  • Experience with A/B testing, personalization, and compliance with email marketing regulations.
  • Direct supervisory experience of small to mid -size team or equivalent matrix management experience
  • Experience with full cycle contact center environment to include inbound, outbound calls, text, email, and chat.
  • Strong analytical skills and reporting of key performance indicators and success measurements.
  • Strong computer technical skills - MS Office


Education and/or Certifications Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
