Role Summary:

  • The Senior Account Executive (Business Development) is responsible for generating leads for the property Sales Managers; acts strategically in developing and fostering business through proactive and reactive sales techniques.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides the highest quality of customer service at all times (leading by example and professionally representing Concord Hospitality and hotel brand).
  • Acts strategically in sourcing and obtaining new business for Renaissance Milwaukee West Hotel; passes leads to property Sales Managers.
  • Assists in the development of new business through research, obtaining accounts from competition, and/or lateral development of existing accounts.
  • Assists Director of Sales & Marketing with analyzing business and making sound booking decisions.
  • Assists with property marketing plans by gathering historical and competitive data; sets goals and action plans.
  • Entertains and maintains close relations with major accounts to develop positive rapport and ensure repeat business.
  • Compiles and interprets various reports as needed (e.g. period end, weekly reports). Monitors and analyzes trends; anticipates and proactively changes or adapts selling strategies, as needed.
  • Creates awareness in the market of the hotel's advertising programs.
  • Communicates proactively with Sales Department, General Manager, and various teams as needed regarding progress of clients and selling strategy; ensures proper follow up and implementation after business is turned over to Sales Managers.
  • Works closely with Revenue Manager to ensure selling strategies and trends are understood and adhered to (and revenue is maximized).
  • Attends brand training as well as other meetings requested by the Director of Sales & Marketing.
  • Accommodates guest special requests whenever possible.
  • Carries out any reasonable request by Management that you are capable of performing.
  • Remain current and knowledgeable of property's occupancy, average rate, and REVPAR goals.
  • Supports Sales Department with projects and initiatives, as needed.
  • Complies with company policies and procedures.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Proven success generating new business in a full-service hotel Sales position.
  • Knowledge of hotel's and local market's competitive set (to maintain proper positioning and awareness, as well as to enhance referral opportunities).
  • Ability to work remotely and travel frequently (generally within Greater Midwest: Wisconsin, Illinois, Minnesota, Michigan).
  • Ability to work from the property (Wauwatosa, Wisconsin) approximately once per week (and as needed).

Compensation:

  • Commission-based pay structure with an annual base salary of $75, 000.
