Role Summary:

  • Responsible for overseeing the Maintenance and Loss Prevention Department, ensuring adherence to company standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate Concord and Renaissance brand values in daily leadership, maintaining a positive, effective, and efficient environment.
  • As a member of the Executive Team, collaborate routinely with all areas of the hotel and ensures cohesion throughout.
  • Select, train, supervise, develop, and counsel associates.
  • Schedule the department to business volume, in coordination with the Loss Prevention Manager.
  • Manage time and attendance.
  • Analyze financial and operating information on an ongoing basis, to adjust labor, supplies, materials, and other costs to achieve budget.
  • Prepare and adhere to departmental budget.
  • Provide the highest quality of guest service at all times; set example for all hotel associates.
  • Ensure fulfillment of preventative maintenance program to specific brand standards.
  • Inspect guest rooms after preventative maintenance.
  • Maintain a current inventory of all supplies.
  • Maintain electronic work order program for completed and pending work orders. Prioritize and complete work orders in a timely manner. Communicate to the requesting party upon completion when needed.
  • Maintain and repair HVAC as required.
  • Ensure implementation and compliance of brand standard key control policies and procedures.
  • Maintain smoke alarm and sprinkler systems.
  • Ensure routine preventive maintenance on equipment is done. This is including, but not limited to laundry equipment, heating and air condition units, ice machines, fire extinguishers, fire/smoke alarms, lawn sprinklers, fire equipment and plumbing. These are performed as required by the manufacturer and in accordance with the warranty specifications.
  • Perform duties of direct reports, as needed.
  • Other duties as required.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Prior engineering management experience.
  • Hands-on experience completing daily maintenance tasks.
  • Full-service hotel experience a plus.
  • Marriott experience a plus.
  • Flexible availability is required (including weekend availability and responding to emergency situations outside of standard hours).

Compensation:

  • The starting annual pay for this position is $70, 000 depending on experience.
