Description:
Key Duties and Responsibilities: - Experience: Specialized depth & breadth of experience; Develop and improve manufacturing methods consistent with the principles of scientific mold and process control.
- Work assignments: Specialized and strategic work assignments.
- Problem solving: Extensive experience in solving complex problems; Manage plant, equipment, and process improvement projects, as assigned.
- Issue resolution: Develops others' comprehension on solving complex issues. Collaborate with operations, technical and hourly personnel to optimize processes.
- Decision making: Risk based decision making under undefined conditions; Manage the process to optimize press cycle time and consistency.
- Leadership: High level of authority & works autonomously; may facilitate work of others but may not be a supervisor; Demonstrates a tendency to act instead of waiting for permission; Champion team decisions over individual agendas; Drives group dynamics to ensure a productive team environment. Assist in the development and manufacture of new tools to minimize 'time to market' while maximizing cost effectiveness.
- Participate in the selection of processes and mold design considerations for new products.
- Accountability: High level of personal accountability and skill at holding others accountable to their commitments.
- Lead various scrap improvement activities.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education Required: - Bachelor's degree in related Engineering field (experience to be considered in lieu of education).
- RJG Training Certification - Master Molder I & II or AIM Molding 3.
Experience Required: - Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience.

- Ability to design, plan and execute testing strategies and tactics to ensure product quality at all stages of manufacturing.
- Ability to apply technical, scientific, and mathematical knowledge to design and implement materials, structures, machines, devices, systems and processes that safely realize a desired objective.
- Knowledge of existing and planned approaches for methods for manufacturing products or product components.
- Knowledge of methodologies, tools, and techniques for designing, building and managing the manufacture of new tools.
- Knowledge of methods, accepted practices, considerations and regulatory requirements associated with safety and protection of the employees, environment and site.
