Job Description
Midwest Engineered Systems, Inc. is hiring a Machine Builder/System Technician in Waukesha, WI. This is a full-time position.
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time. Work both independently and as part of a project team. Comply with all quality and safety regulations. Maintain own set of tools. Work nights and weekends as needed. Travel up to 25% annually is required. Perform other responsibilities as assigned. Electrical Organize and maintain electrical schematics, shop materials, job inventory, and tools to ensure the panel shop portrays a professional image. Wire electrical sub-panels from schematics and customer specifications. Modify enclosures as required to fit components. Operate a variety of labeling devices and machines. Install cord grips, hardware, and flexible or rigid conduit to interconnect enclosures. Understand the build process and how to make mechanical or electrical changes. Apply industry electrical code, including NEC, ANSI, NFPA, and OSHA standards. Mechanical Read and interpret assembly blueprints or specification manuals and plan assembly or building operations. Understand the build process and how to make mechanical or electrical changes. Position or align components for assembly, manually or using hoists or lifts. Lay out, drill, ream, tap, or cut parts for assembly. Set up and operate metalworking machines, such as drills, grinders, saws, and hammer drills. Apply working understanding of pneumatics and hydraulics. Measure and lay out floor plans for systems using mathematics as needed. Verify conformance of parts using measuring instruments such as calipers, gauges, or micrometers.
