Description:
Essential to this PositionThe Sustainability Intern will be responsible for assisting the Sustainability Team with projects starting in summer of 2026. This internship offers hands-on experience in sustainability strategy execution, data analysis, and regulatory compliance within a leading packaging manufacturing environment.
Areas of Learning/Responsibilities- Utilize online tools such as the USGS Water Data Portal, EPA WaterSense, and regional Water Atlases to benchmark usage and identify local water stress indicators.
- Conduct a comprehensive inventory of waste streams across operations.
- Assist in collecting emissions, waste and water data for sustainability KPIs.
- Contribute to internal and external reporting (e.g., CDP, ESG disclosures).
- Develop a compliance calendar to track deadlines, reporting requirements, and areas of risk.
Qualifications- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, or related field.
- Proficiency in Excel, data visualization tools, and/or GIS is a plus.
- Familiarity with sustainability frameworks, disclosures and regulations (e.g., GHG Protocol, CDP, GRI).
