Essential to this Position

The Sustainability Intern will be responsible for assisting the Sustainability Team with projects starting in summer of 2026. This internship offers hands-on experience in sustainability strategy execution, data analysis, and regulatory compliance within a leading packaging manufacturing environment.

Areas of Learning/Responsibilities
  • Utilize online tools such as the USGS Water Data Portal, EPA WaterSense, and regional Water Atlases to benchmark usage and identify local water stress indicators.
  • Conduct a comprehensive inventory of waste streams across operations.
  • Assist in collecting emissions, waste and water data for sustainability KPIs.
  • Contribute to internal and external reporting (e.g., CDP, ESG disclosures).
  • Develop a compliance calendar to track deadlines, reporting requirements, and areas of risk.


Qualifications
  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, or related field.
  • Proficiency in Excel, data visualization tools, and/or GIS is a plus.
  • Familiarity with sustainability frameworks, disclosures and regulations (e.g., GHG Protocol, CDP, GRI).
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
