Description:

Essential Functions:

Safety - Achieve plant safety goals through:
  • Continuous assessment of MPC line leads/line safety
    • Look for: unsafe behaviors and unsafe conditions and enforce safety policies
  • Coach MPC line lead
    • Identify areas of concern/opportunity and coach
    • Recognize/reinforce positive behaviors
  • Provide daily feedback on positive/negative findings
  • On shift safety snag facilitation/incident reporting
  • Become an active member of the ERT
  • Assist in plant audits


Quality - Achieve quality goals that meet or exceed customer requirements through:
  • Oversight of all programs' quality
    • Work with line leads to ensure compliance to SPEC
    • Startup of program and shift
    • During production
  • Coach line leads
  • Give feedback on the Quality Escalation program and assist in root cause analysis
  • Assist in plant audits
  • Ensure all associates are properly trained to perform work that meets quality requirements


Production - Achieve plant production goals through:
  • Continuous assessment of line efficiencies
    • Escalation/acceleration process
    • Bottlenecks
  • Ensure all production lines are utilizing the large monitors to display line efficiencies.
  • Thorough knowledge of the production process and being able to read and understand information related to production orders
  • Coach line leads on areas of opportunity (lean/waste)
  • Oversee line set ups and utilize floor resources
  • Recognize/reinforce positive behaviors
  • Continuous calibration to schedule (on track/not on track)
  • Ensure all employees are trained to use equipment


Communication - Ensure effective communication exists throughout the plant by:
  • Beginning of shift
    • Review previous shifts' performance in regards to Safety, Quality, Productivity (SQP)
    • Assess all issues and plan (RCSA)
  • During Shift
    • Continuous communication with Associate line leads (SQP)
    • Escalation of any issue as needed (SQP)
    • Drive accountability to lowest level (SQP)
      • MPC Line lead
      • Associate Line lead
      • Associate Staff
  • End of Shift
    • Progress: SQP, line, Accl, job set ups
    • Start up/shut down communication


Perform other duties as assigned by management/supervisors

Performance Measures an Outcomes:
  • Adherence to safety policies and procedures
  • Quality of work
  • Production goals


Education/Certification:

High School Diploma or equivalent desired.

Work Experience:
  • Supervisory experience desired.


Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Safety sensitive position - ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as required based upon the needs of the business
  • Ability to work on a rotating shift as needed
  • Ability to effectively work in teams
  • Ability to work in a production-based environment with moving equipment and people
  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of roles
  • Read a tape measure/ruler
  • Good mathematical skills
  • Good organizational skills
  • Ability to perform all computer functions as they pertain to the job
