Description:

The following duties are normal for this position. The incumbent may perform some or all of these duties, however, it is not an exclusive or all-inclusive list. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Demonstrate commitment to safety and perform job duties in accordance with company safety policies and procedures.
  • Understand job ticket information to determine quantity, special work instructions, and any other special customer requirements.
  • Blend or order ink for upcoming jobs and stage at press accordingly. Blend ink for work-off whenever possible.
  • Provide required ink consumption reports to accounting.
  • Complete required monthly environmental reporting for ink usage.
  • Work with ink suppliers on color matches for customer approval.
  • Complete required ink preparations for all new print jobs.
  • Participate in and assist with new print trials and approvals.
  • Maintain ink inventory and storage locations.
  • Draw down on appropriate stocks and match color using computer applications.
  • Manage and approved required ink purchases.
  • Create purchase requisitions within ERP system.
  • Work with peers and other departments to improve quality and performance.
  • Contribute to overtime needs to meet customer demands.
  • Play an active role in the maintenance and cleanliness of the assigned work area.
  • Understand department communication systems, schedules, time/attendance system and job reporting requirements.
  • Actively participate in Lean manufacturing initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.


SHIFT: 8-hour shift, Monday through Friday (hours negotiable with a start time either very early morning or early afternoon).

Other Requirements (education, experience, skills/knowledge)
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Possess the ability to blend and color match ink.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Must be flexible and willing to adjust work schedule to meet customer demands (this includes working overtime or potentially on a weekend, if needed).
  • Possess the ability to take direction, work with supervision, and work well within a team.
  • Good verbal and written communication.


Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for up to 8 hours per day
  • Ability to see and distinguish colors.
