Job Description

Menasha Packaging is hiring a HR/EHS Business Partner in Neenah, WI. This is a full-time position.

Essential Job Functions

The following duties are normal for this position. The incumbent may perform some or all of these duties however; it is not an exclusive or all-inclusive list. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Establishes and/or implements human talent strategies, programs and policies to assure company objectives in the areas of safety, productivity, quality, customer service, sales, human capital, cost and profitability
  • Partners with business leaders to assure successful deployment of talent acquisition/management, employee engagement, leadership development, communications, compensation, and benefits initiatives
  • Provides guidance to site leaders and/or direct reports that fosters a high-performance workforce and assures compliance with local, state and federal law in both HR and EHS applicable regulations
  • Supports employee relations process including conducting investigations, administering disciplinary action as needed
  • Assures effective delivery of HR service to assigned site(s)
  • Establishes and analyzes key HR and EHS metrics and provides leadership support to ensure site business objectives are met
  • Ensures cross-functional collaboration across site(s) including leading an employee safety committee
  • Manages staffing, training, employee relations and team performance to develop and enhance the Human Resources and EHS functions
  • Lead and maintain facility safety programs to ensure compliance with OSHA and internal safety standards
  • Drive a proactive safety culture through training, communication, and employee involvement
  • Conduct safety incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
  • Perform safety audits, risk assessments, and ensure follow-up on action items
  • Manage required safety training programs and documentation
  • Maintains industry, professional and technical knowledge by networking, attending industry events, and reviewing professional publications


Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience required


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Knowledge of major responsibilities, accountabilities, and organization of the Human Resources (HR) and Environmental and Safety (EHS)function or department; ability to use and administer the organization's HR/EHS policies, strategies and environment
  • Knowledge of and ability to use the organization's and industry's standards, procedures and policies relevant to human resources and environmental health and safety management
  • Knowledge of federal, state and local laws and ability to advise on laws and regulations affecting HR/EHS practices
  • Knowledge of HR/EHS approaches, tools and techniques; ability to inform, guide and advise managers in HR/EHS related initiatives
  • Knowledge of and ability to plan and develop an organization's HR/EHS operations in order to increase individual and organizational effectiveness
  • Knowledge of and ability to implement HR/EHS related tasks, processes, and projects to ensure smooth daily HR/EHS operations


Physical Requirements & Work Environment

  • This role is based at a manufacturing facility and requires regular presence on the production floor
  • The position supports both day-to-day operations and longer-term strategic initiatives
  • Flexibility in schedule may be required to support shifts, training, or incident response
  • Some travel required
