The person awarded this position must become qualified as the Bobst Poly Joiner Assistant A Operator and the Bobst Poly Joiner Operator. Cross training on other positions on the Bobst Poly Joiner is an expectation in order to fill-in for vacation and any other time someone is not at work. Position requirements include:

• Prebreak large corrugated sheets *
• Feed large sheets of corrugated into machine neatly*;
• Help operator set-up machine for proper fold and proper gluing;
• Help operator set-up machine for proper insert of blanks of Poly Joiner section
• Key in glue settings in control boxes
• Watch the monitors for jam-ups and other quality issues
• Operate in-line stock computer
• Monitor hot melts - fill when necessary
• Help maintain a clean work area;
• Help repair or assist maintenance in the repair of the machine;
• Safety procedures are the responsibility of all employees;
• Quality procedures are the responsibility of all employees;
• Be flexible to work at other machine centers within the Joining Dept.
• Work necessary overtime when required

*If an order runs longer than 2 hours, employees will be required to rotate positions every hour.
