Job Description
Menasha Packaging is hiring a Apprentice - Under Age 18 in Neenah, WI. This is a part-time position.
The following duties are normal for this position. The incumbent may perform some or all of these duties; however, it is not an exclusive or all-inclusive list. Other duties may be assigned.
- Demonstrates commitment to safety and performs job duties in accordance with company safety policies and procedures.
- Demonstrates commitment to quality and performs job duties in adherence to Good Manufacturing Policy (GMP) guidelines.
- Should be aware of their responsibilities and their accountability is clearly defined for key staff involved with product safety, legality, and quality systems.
- Understand job ticket information to determine quantity, special work instructions, and any other special customer requirements.
- Maintain high efficiency according to established rates during operation of the assigned equipment.
- Determine the best manufacturing method to produce product efficiently and effectively.
- Stage material and supplies needed to run production job.
- Move skids of waste and record accordingly.
- Assist Machine Operator in maintaining high production efficiencies according to established rates during operation of the assigned equipment.
- Must complete necessary training documents.
- Assist the operators at various machine centers throughout the plant during the shift to fill in as necessary.
- Must complete necessary training documents.
- Complete required quality inspections and paperwork.
- Work with peers and other departments to improve quality and performance.
- Play an active role in the maintenance and cleanliness of the equipment and surrounding area.
- Must complete necessary training documents.
- Actively participates in Lean manufacturing initiatives.
- Performs other duties as assigned by management.
