Our internship program is designed with future leaders in mind and serves as a pipeline for top talent. The Intern experience at Lands’ End is a comprehensive development-based role, offering a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and growing area of the business. Interns will be immersed in supporting key initiatives that expand and optimize our licensing operations, working closely with cross-functional teams and external partners.

As part of the experience, you will be involved in key projects that will provide exposure to real-world business operations in a growing licensing division, gaining a deeper understanding of how licensing supports brand growth and revenue generation.

This is a hybrid role with three weeks per month onsite (Mon – Thurs). The primary work location is our New York Office located at 12 West 31st Street, New York, NY and you will perform work both on-site and remotely each week. You must reside or relocate within a commutable distance of the office for this position. Don’t worry, we have you covered, Lands’ End offers competitive relocation assistance!

Successful candidates should have the following knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field with Senior status in the upcoming year.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Curiosity and enthusiasm for learning about brand licensing and business strategy.

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Support the development of presentations, reports, and business reviews for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Conduct market research on potential partners, categories, and competitive landscape to support business development initiatives.
  • Collaborate with marketing, product, and legal teams to ensure alignment on licensing initiatives.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas to improve processes and outcomes.
  • Assist the licensing team with day-to-day administrative tasks, including maintaining contract files, product trackers, and partner databases.
  • Coordinate sample management, including ordering, organizing, and distributing product samples to partners or internal teams.
  • Monitor industry news, trade publications, and competitor activity to identify trends and opportunities.
