Position Summary
The Area Manager is a forward-thinking leader with a proven track record in multi-store retail management. They are responsible for overseeing their home store and 2–3 additional locations, ensuring operational excellence, team development, and revenue growth. This role emphasizes data-driven decision-making, digital transformation, and the integration of technology to enhance customer and employee experiences. The Area Manager fosters a culture of accountability, integrity, and continuous learning, while championing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) and promoting sustainable business practices. They are adaptable to hybrid work environments and leverage virtual tools for communication and oversight. Reporting to the Senior District Manager, the Area Manager will complete a 12-month Training and Development Program covering Business Acumen, Talent Strategy, Customer & Brand Experience, Operational Excellence, and Digital Innovation.

• Lead and oversee operations across the home store and 2–3 additional locations, ensuring consistency, excellence, and compliance with company standards.
• Drive sales and profitability by analyzing business metrics, implementing strategic initiatives, and fostering a customer-centric culture.
• Develop and support store leadership teams, providing coaching, performance feedback, and guidance to build high-performing teams.
• Champion DEI and sustainability, embedding inclusive practices and environmentally responsible strategies into daily operations.
• Leverage digital tools and hybrid work practices to manage remotely, communicate effectively.

Leadership Responsibilities
• Lead and manager a team of 4+ employees.
• Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to team members.
• Foster a collaborative and positive work environment.
• Set performance expectations and goals for team members.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
• Identify and address performance issues through coaching and disciplinary actions when necessary.
• Participate and recruitment and onboarding of new team members, as needed.
• Identify training needs within the team and coordinate relevant development programs, encourage continuous learning and skill development among team members.
• Serve as liaison between upper management and team, conveying organizational goals and expectations.
• Address conflicts or issues within the team promptly and effectively.
• Manage team resources, including workload distribution and project assignments.
• Ensure optimal utilization of team member’s skills and expertise.
• Collaborate with upper management to establish team goals aligned with organizational objectives.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of department strategies.
Physical Requirements
• Ability to sit for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Ability to travel 25+ days per year.
Education & Experience Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Retail Management or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in Retail Management
• 5+ years of experience in a managerial or supervisory role.
• Demonstrated success in leading and developing high-performing teams.
