Summary of Position:

Incumbent reports to the Quality Manager and receives direction in the form of broadly defined objectives. Responsibilities include meeting team objectives and effective use of resources.

Incumbent Demonstrates both personal and organizational sensitivity.

In this role, you will:

  • Visibly demonstrate safety as a value by following safety procedures, maintaining a safe workplace and complying with safety rules. Actively participate in achieving organization and personal safety objectives.
  • Communicate fully with superiors, subordinates and others who have need to know. Communicate in a way that is timely, complete, concise, candid, and clear.
  • Contribute to an environment in which all team members are respected regardless of their individual differences and are motivated to improve both their individual and team contributions to achieve desired business results.
  • Develop and maintain a partnership with suppliers to improve supplied material quality.
  • Maintain/update files of supplied material log and vendor contacts used in the plant.
  • Incumbent is expected to travel (approximately 10%).
  • Other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
  • Attend meetings pertaining to Safety and Quality, or as directed by Plant leadership.
  • Establish, own, and execute Raw Material Improvement Plan. Demonstrate a 30% YOY improvement on top 1-2 materials.
  • Provide functional leadership to Raw Material Associate.
  • Supports Quality culture by building relationship with operations by spending time on the operations floor.

In one of our Engineering, roles, you’ll focus on winning with consumers and the market, while putting safety, mutual respect, and human dignity at the center. To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:

  • Education required / preferred: Undergraduate degree
  • Lead by example in managing Safety and Quality values and practices in accordance with One-KC Behaviors.
  • Knowledge of the raw materials used in production.
  • Technical specialist to differentiate material issues versus machine issues.
  • Experience with or the ability to learn and use computer programs (Microsoft Office, EWMA, STORM, SAP, SAMS, and EtQ).
  • Ability to ensure work is appropriately documented and retrievable.
  • Ability to teach others (position requires small group training of operators on specific tasks).
  • High level of initiative and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to obtain and utilize quality-related documents and procedures (i.e. Raw Material Specifications, Product Specifications, Quality System Requirements (QSR), Internal Controls).
  • Consistent track record of delivering results while creating and maintaining a constructive work environment.

This is a P1/Grade 11position and compensation may vary based on location.

Salary Range: 78, 660 – 92, 980 USD

At Kimberly-Clark, pay is just one aspect of our total rewards package, which also includes a variety of benefits and opportunities to achieve, thrive and grow. Along with base pay, this position offers eligibility for a target bonus and a comprehensive benefits suite, including our 401(k) and Profit Sharing plan. The anticipated base pay range for this role is provided above for a fully qualified hire. Actual pay will depend on several factors, such as location, role, skills, performance, and experience. Please note that the stated pay range applies to US locations only.
