In this role, you will:

Provide day to day direction to Demand Planning Teams for assigned Sector/Business Unit. Own and lead the development and delivery of an accurate demand forecast for 0-24 month time horizon as part of the S& OP process for assigned Business Unit. Partner with BU sales, Brands, Supply Chain and Product Supply Teams to provide input into decision making, gather inputs into forecast, assist in execution of business plans and gap management. Participate in Key Projects as needed to enhance forecast capabilities and drive overall value from Sales Planning Organization. Assist team leader in development of team roles and responsibilities. Train, coach and develop demand planning team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership for 0–24-month demand forecast and related collaboration processes, including Sales and Operations Planning, Annual Operating Plans, SMOC, Customer Transition Planning, Innovation Management and key customer level forecasts. Efficiently satisfy BU Sales, Product Supply, Finance and Customer Management timing and business needs
  • Partner with Commercial Analytics and Center of Excellence (COE) teams in the development of Consumption-Based Forecasting and own the deployment and integration of this approach into the Demand Planning process. This collaboration ensures that forecasting methodologies are closely aligned with business objectives and market realities, paving the way for more responsive and agile planning cycles.
  • Assist in execution of demand planning to meet or exceed key performance indicators (forecast accuracy metrics, net sales, market share, contribution, and DSM) for assigned brands. Balance contribution objectives with net sales and share objectives when creating and executing tactical plans.
  • Assist in development and implementation of demand gap management plans as required. Facilitate demand gap management projects and recommend solutions to assigned business unit when key performance indicators are not being met.
  • Participate in strategic development and implementation of sustainable management tools and processes that support demand forecasting and gap management.
  • Provide leadership in proactively managing situations in which supply and demand are out of balance including the development and execution of demand management and/or supply allocation strategies where appropriate.
  • Ensure applications of established corporate financial controls within areas of responsibility by providing assistance to operating management direction and support to implement and maintain of financial policies, instructions and internal control procedures.
  • Provide work direction for planning team to ensure delivery of expected business support. Communicate effectively with Customer Development leadership team members, BU Sales and field sales teams, product supply, finance and brand teams as needed.
  • Enhance position by thoroughly reviewing all activities performed in order to improve quality and productivity of services provided. Keep informed of industry initiatives/trends, new technologies and process enhancements through benchmarking and best practices research to be leveraged in support of team objectives, while linking development plans with front-end learning agendas.
  • Shape and sustain effective motivated teams to deliver desired results by providing vision direction, building trust, coaching and developing team members, leveraging individual abilities, and ensuring best practices are utilized. Develop and maintain sustainable business relationships with key customers.
  • Partner with Analytics and COE teams to elevate current Demand Planning capabilities, including the use of the Kinaxis Statistical Forecasting model, Range-Based and Threshold-Based Demand Planning approaches, and other Demand Planning analytics tools and processes. These efforts are designed to drive significant improvements in forecast bias and overall forecast accuracy. By leveraging advanced analytics and cross-functional expertise, the organization can better anticipate market shifts, reduce risks, and enhance supply chain resilience.
  • Collaborate in the development and seamless integration of innovative forecasting methods.
  • Implement state-of-the-art analytics tools to support data-driven decision making.
  • Focus on continuous improvement to achieve measurable gains in accuracy and bias reduction.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 10 plus years of experience with successful demand forecasting, gap management, quantitative business analyses and general supply and demand.
  • Experience in S& OP process.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Proven business results, knowledge of sales planning and forecasting processes. Working knowledge of logistics, finance, customer development, consumer business brand strategies and business management.
  • Complex problem solver to resolve business issues.
  • Project leadership skills.
  • Experience in developing internal customer relationships and conducting business analyses.

Preferred Experience/Qualifications:

  • Past experience leading a team
  • Knowledge of SAP forecasting tools,
  • Knowledge of LEAN change management processes, Syndicated data, household panel data, shopper research and marketing concepts.
  • Knowledge of marketing and space management processes is a plus.
  • Knowledge of and experience with K-C planning process and TPM software is a plus.
  • Proficient in data access tools and PC based applications (Windows, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).

Salary Range: 157, 720 – 194, 760 USD

Along with base pay, this position offers eligibility for a target bonus and a comprehensive benefits suite, including our 401(k) and Profit Sharing plan. The anticipated base pay range for this role is provided above for a fully qualified hire. Actual pay will depend on several factors, such as location, role, skills, performance, and experience. Please note that the stated pay range applies to US locations only.
