Receiving Raw Materials Days Shift (8 hours)

Shift: Day Shift 8am-4pm
Starting Pay: $21.53/hour Min. (with scheduled increases)
Sign-On Bonus: $1, 500 for new employees paid out over one year of employment.
Compensation & Benefits

Pay Progression:
  • Start Pay: $21.53/hour
  • After 90 Days: $22.03/hour
  • After 6 Months: $22.53/hour
  • After 12 Months: $23.53/hour

Paid Time Off:
  • 11 paid holidays per year
  • 112 vacation hours annually (accrued at 4.31 hours per bi-weekly pay period)
  • 24 hours of sick time per year (prorated in the first year)
  • 1 paid wellness day off per year

Primary Purpose of the Role:

Responsible for receiving incoming shipments of raw materials and products that come into the facility. This includes verifying and storing the raw materials/products in the correct location.

Essential Functions:
  • Safely and efficiently operate all necessary equipment, systems, and processes.
  • Monitors, retrieves, transports, and stores raw materials, finished product and recycling/waste.
  • Communicates with the Distribution clerk on daily schedule and changes.
  • Determines storage areas for incoming shipments and allocates appropriate space within the warehouse.
  • Verifies shipment against packing list and BOL.
  • Checks for damages and documents any issues and reports to Lead or Supervisor.
  • Completes a pre-operation checklist on forklift, and roll clamp daily to identify mechanical problems and report to Lead or Supervisor
  • Operates radio frequency devices to make product transfers in an accurate & efficient manner.
  • Changes out LP tanks, check connections on batteries, and report defects to Lead or Supervisor
  • Provides support to utility, as needed, through good housekeeping by sweeping floors, picking up debris, and emptying garbage.
  • Loads and unloads trucks (scrap, skid, table cover etc.)
  • Must follow GMP and SQF guidelines and report any food safety issues to your supervisor.
  • Foster a positive work environment.
  • Ability to train and support employees as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Specifications:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Factory experience preferred but not a requirement
  • Position requires learning to drive mechanical trucks/forklifts/clamps
  • Ability to operate a forklift properly and safely
  • Ability to do basic math
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
