Position: Plate Mounter (Entry-Level | Manufacturing - Day Shift, 2-2-3 Schedule)

Location: Clintonville, WI
Pay Rate: $18.00/hour
Schedule: 12-hour shifts on a 2-2-3 rotation (day shift)

Job Summary:

Looking to start your career in manufacturing? Join our team as a Plate Mounter — an entry-level role ideal for detail-oriented, self-motivated individuals ready to learn new skills and support our high-quality flexographic printing process. In this position, you'll work independently to prepare and mount printing plates that are essential for production. No prior experience is needed — just a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and no fear of heights.
What is a 2-2-3 Schedule?

The 2-2-3 schedule is a rotating 12-hour shift pattern that gives you every other weekend off while working just 14 days out of every 28. It looks like this:

Week 1:
  • Work: Monday & Tuesday
  • Off: Wednesday & Thursday
  • Work: Friday, Saturday & Sunday

Week 2:
  • Off: Monday & Tuesday
  • Work: Wednesday & Thursday
  • Off: Friday, Saturday & Sunday

This schedule offers a predictable routine and great work-life balance.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Cut or trim photopolymer print plates to correct size
  • Set up and operate mounting equipment
  • Cut and apply sticky back to printing sleeves
  • Mount photopolymer printing plates to sleeves accurately
  • Save, store, and retrieve printing plates using the computer system
  • De-mount plates and return them to proper storage
  • Place mounted sleeves at assigned staging areas
  • Perform machine adjustments, including camera positioning
  • Operate a vertical mast lift for plate retrieval (must be comfortable with heights)
  • Maintain cleanliness of the machine, floor, and workspace daily
  • Track material and rejected items in the system as required
  • Order new printing plates and manage receipt and inventory
  • Follow GMP and SQF food safety guidelines
  • Perform daily safety checks and ensure guards/devices are in place
  • Support a positive work environment and assist with training as needed
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Compensation & Benefits:
  • Pay: $18.00/hour
  • Schedule: Day shift - 2-2-3 rotation (every other weekend off)

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Technical degree or experience in printing preferred, but not required
  • Basic math and communication skills
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Comfortable working at heights (plate retrieval requires elevated work platform)
  • Able to lift up to 75 lbs occasionally and work on your feet for extended periods
  • Willingness to learn, follow safety protocols, and work as part of a team
