Description:

Primary Purpose of the Role

The primary purpose is to optimize processes and systems within the organization.

Essential Job Duties
  • Investigate, experiment, and implement processes to maximize productivity.
  • Proactive problem solving based on statistical analysis.
  • Develop and implement new procedures and processes to increase the overall uptime and availability of systems and equipment.
  • Provides technical support using problem solving techniques.
  • Creates and modifies procedures as needed to maximize equipment and maintenance operations.
  • Provides active support and participation in safety-related projects as an active member of the Hoffmaster safety culture.
  • Follows and maintains all Food Safety, GMP, and HACCP Guidelines.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities
  • Performs work under general supervision.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to assist others.
  • Participate in kaizen events.
  • Develop process flows and line layouts.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite and 2D CAD software, including DraftSight and/or AutoCAD.
  • Experience in 3D CAD software, including SolidWorks, a plus.

  • School Credit- Because Hoffmaster focuses on providing meaningful projects to interns, our internships will satisfy most schools internship requirements.
  • Full time employment- Internships and projects are designed to last 10 weeks over the summer. Hours will be Monday - Friday 8 am - 4: 30 pm and pay starts at $20 / hour.
