Essential Functions Greet patients, prepare them for services and make them comfortable during careComplete a prophylaxis including the removal of calculus, plaque, and stains from the teeth and beneath the gumsVisually examine gums for sores and signs of diseaseConduct an extra oral exam to detect swelling or tenderness that could indicate the presence of diseaseApply fluoride and other cavity preventing agents to arrest dental decayApply sealantsChart conditions of decay and disease as requested by the dentist in the electronic patient recordObtain quality digital x-raysProvide clinical services and oral health education to patients, their caregivers and families to improve and maintain oral healthCompletely and accurately conduct a caries risk assessment and follow up with Best Care Program motivational interviewAccurately post transactions in the computer systemMay administer local anesthetic agentsDisinfect, clean, and sterilize work area and instrumentsPerform weekly and monthly maintenance of autoclaves and other equipmentFollow the infection control protocol as outlined by OSHAAttend hygiene meetings and all scheduled staff meetingsReview patient chart and medical history formsAssist with stocking supplies, general cleaning, and sharpening instrumentsScheduling recall and sealant appointmentsConducting hygiene education and/or screenings for daycare, schools, and office toursOther duties as assigned Work Schedule: Full-time Schedule: Mon - Thurs; 7: 30 am - 5: 00 pm | Fri; 7: 30 am - 1: 30 pm | Part-time Schedule Negotiable Job Type: Full-time or Part-time Location(s): Suamico & Bellevue
