Summary - basic function of the roleThe Supply Chain Continuous Improvement Manager is responsible for leading strategic improvement initiatives across supply chain and operations to drive efficiency, standardization, cost optimization, and performance excellence. This role serves as a catalyst for change by applying structured problem-solving, project management discipline, and data-driven decision-making to deliver measurable business results.
This position partners cross-functionally with operations, category management, planning, logistics, finance, IT, and leadership teams to design, implement, and sustain continuous improvement initiatives. The role requires strong leadership, analytical, and change management capabilities, along with the ability to influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.
Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesProject Leadership & Execution- Lead end-to-end continuous improvement projects using structured methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, or PMI-based frameworks).
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource plans.
- Assemble, lead, and influence cross-functional project teams to achieve targeted outcomes.
- Proactively manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and scope changes.
Process Improvement & Standardization- Lead process design initiatives focused on standardization, simplification, automation, and scalability.
- Implement best practices, standard operating procedures (SOPs), playbooks, and training materials.
- Serve as a thought leader in process excellence, data analytics, systems optimization, and workflows.
- Identify opportunities for operational excellence, productivity improvement, cost reduction, service enhancement, and digital enablement.
Performance Management & Analytics- Design and maintain KPI frameworks, dashboards, and standardized reporting tools.
- Deliver business insights that drive informed decision-making and continuous performance improvement.
- Build automated workflows and reporting solutions to enhance visibility, efficiency, and compliance.
Stakeholder Engagement & Change Management- Act as a change agent by driving adoption of new processes and tools through communication, training, and leadership engagement.
- Communicate project status, risks, and outcomes to stakeholders and executive leadership.
- Facilitate workshops, problem-solving sessions, and continuous improvement events.
Governance & Documentation- Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, business requirements, SOPs, training materials, and governance frameworks.
- Ensure alignment with compliance, audit, and internal control requirements.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
Skills and Competencies- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to influence and lead without direct authority.
- Highly organized with exceptional time management and prioritization skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong facilitation, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with data visualization and reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or SQL preferred.
- Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Miro, Jira, Asana, or equivalent).
Education and Experience- Bachelor Degree in Business, Engineering, Operations, or Supply Chain Management
- 5-10 years of progressive experience in continuous improvement, supply chain, operations, or project management roles.
- Demonstrated success leading complex cross-functional projects.
- Lean Six Sigma, PMP, or other continuous improvement certifications preferred.

Physical DemandsEmployee may have to lift documents/work materials up to 30 pounds in weight. Employee will have to be able to walk/climb to a variety of primary work locations, including traveling by air/auto to remote sites. Position may require travel up to 5% of time depending on assigned projects. Employee will need to listen, understand, and speak with team members in person, telephonically, and electronically at all levels within a diverse workforce and with supported organizations. Employee is able to work in front of a personal computer and telephone for long periods of time.
Work EnvironmentPrimary work environment is temperature-controlled office setting but may also be visiting different manufacturing facilities where following appropriate safety protocols at the location would be required. Employee will be exposed to low levels of noise in the office and elevated levels of noise on the plant floor.
