Summary - basic function of the role This job description defines the responsibilities and contributions of a Customer Service Representative for inter-company orders placed into our Antigo, WI facility. Reporting to the Value Stream Manager, this position contributes to the business by providing exceptional customer service, support and order follow up.
Shift: Monday - Friday; 7 - 3 pm or 8 - 4: 00 pm; flexible
Job Duties and Responsibilities - Receives orders (via telephone, fax, and e-mail), requests for quotations (RFQ's), order changes, forecast schedules and cancellations directly from customers. Processes return authorization requests.
- Provides an accurate, timely, and professional response to customer questions and concerns.
- Follows up on inquiries by researching computer system for delivery information.
- Works closely with Production Planning, Purchasing and Manufacturing regarding deliveries of scheduled shipments.
- Uses computer system to retrieve customer information, part number inventory and status of purchase orders. Ensures that correct information is entered into the system. Maintains files of active orders pertinent customer correspondence contacts, and special arrangements.
- Works with the Accounting department to help resolve customer credit issues. Drives on-time-delivery through daily shipment management.
- Facilitates discussion among Planning/ Scheduling and Customer on mutually agreeable delivery due dates
- Remains current in company products, promotions, and pricing. Provides product literature upon request
- Performs other related projects as assigned
- Effectively demonstrates excellent analytical, problem solving and decision making skills
Skills and Competencies - Demonstrated success working in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
- Demonstrated passion for customer service and desire to help others required.
- Excellent time management, organization, and follow up skills required.
- Demonstrated ability to apply effective intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications: Word and Excel. Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel are required.
- Call Center or Inside Sales experience preferred.
- Ability to form and strengthen relationships with assigned customer accounts and outside sales reps.
- Knowledge of or exposure to Oracle is preferred.
- Knowledge of industrial products and / or export processes is preferred.
- Strong oral and written communication skills required, especially as they pertain to communicating with Customers, sales representatives, operations, marketing, and cross -functional teams.
- Pleasant phone skills and service-minded attitude required.
- Demonstrated ability to engage in results orientated activity.
- Must be self-motivated, have good analytical skills, work well individually or as a team member.
Education and Experience HS Diploma or GED preferred.
Knowledge or exposure to Oracle is preferred.
Experience or high exposure to industrial products is preferred
