Role Overview
Rydges Wellington is a leading four-star property featuring 280 rooms in the heart of the city. As Conference & Events Coordinator, you’ll be the key point of contact for clients, ensuring every detail of their event is planned and executed to perfection. From conferences and meetings to weddings and private dining, you’ll manage bookings, liaise with internal teams, and provide professional, friendly service that exceeds expectations. This role combines administration, coordination, and client engagement, making it ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Coordinate conferences, events, and private bookings from enquiry through to execution.
• Prepare quotes, manage bookings, and maintain accurate records in the iVvy event management system.
• Conduct site inspections and liaise with clients and suppliers to ensure all requirements are met.
• Work closely with hotel departments to deliver smooth, professional events.
• Assist with lead generation, enquiry follow-up, and post-event feedback to secure repeat business.
• Provide on-site support for special events and act as a brand ambassador for Rydges and EVT.

• Previous experience in event coordination or hospitality administration preferred.
• Strong organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• A positive, proactive attitude and passion for delivering outstanding client experiences.
