Description:

Join the Urgent Care team as a Washington State credentialed Medical Assistant-Certified!

Pay starts at $21.71 per hour and increases depending on evaluation of experience.

Available Differentials: Evening ($3.00/hour), Saturday and Sunday ($2.50/hour), Float ($3.00)

M ust have active Washington State Department of Health, Medical Assistant-Certified credential or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.

Available Schedules:
(will transition to schedule after successful completion of training to include varying weekday/weekend shifts)
  • Columbia Tech Center (40 hours/week): Wednesday (6 hour shift), Thursday (12 hour shift), Friday (12 hour shift) and every other weekend (10 hour shifts each day) or Monday (12 hour shift), Tuesday (12 hour shift), Wednesday (6.5 hour shift), and every other weekend (10 hour shifts each day)
  • Battle Ground (40 hour/week): Wednesday (6.5 hours), Thursday (12 hours), Friday (12 hours) and every other weekend (9.5 hours each day)
  • Float (40 hours/week): Float schedule with varying shifts between 6: 30am and 11: 30pm. Schedule will include two full weekends (Saturday and Sunday shifts) per month and will support multiple locations.
  • Camas (40 hours/week): Monday (12 hour shift), Tuesday (12 hour shift), Wednesday (6.5 hour shift), and every other weekend (10 hour shifts each day)


In this role you will:
  • Room patients and take manual vitals and operate an automated BP machine
  • Collect data and report in the EMR, work the MA in-basket managing prescription requests
  • Perform clinical skills such as ear lavage, EKG, sterile set-up, injections, immunizations, point-of care testing, swabbing, phlebotomy
  • Receive and make phone calls to other departments, patients and peers. And use critical thinking skills to find resources and follow protocols and policies
  • Work independently and as a team member
  • Ability to wear a mask all day and an N95 in cases where protocol directs .
  • Have strong time management and delegation skills to prioritize workflow


Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program required.
  • Certification from national certifying entity (AAMA, NCCT, AMT, NHA, etc.) required
  • Current Washington State Medical Assistant-Certified credential required, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire required.
  • Current healthcare provider BLS required.


**Bonus awarded is prorated by FTE and subject to repayment terms and applicable tax withholding. Eligible new hires only.

Pay Range:
$20.76 - $29.06

PTO and Personal Time accruals are pro-rated by FTE/hours worked. Non-benefits eligible employees will accrue Personal Time based on hours worked and State worked.
