Tapani Inc. is hiring a Heavy Equipment Shop Technician in Battle Ground, WA. This is a full-time position.

Take a look what our current employees say about working for Tapani: Tapani Careers Job Purpose and Summary The Heavy Equipment Shop Technician is responsible for inspecting and repairing the equipment that comes into the shop. Responsibilities: Assist field techs when neededEnsure all safety regulations are adhered toCommunicate all necessary repairs to shop foremanMaintain a clean and tidy working environmentMaintain a positive attitude and a team atmosphereRepair and replace any damaged or worn parts as directed by shop foremanInspect, test, and diagnose any malfunctions on the equipment to determine any repairs neededResearch solutions to issues, create a plan to address the repairs, discuss with Shop ForemanTest all machines after repair to ensure proper performanceRead wiring diagrams and hydraulic schematics and follow diagnostic procedures Job Requirements and Qualifications 12 months experience preferredAbility to stand for long periods of timeGood communication skills - mostly communicates within own departmentWork under moderate supervisionAble to push and pull 30 pounds, carry 50 pounds, and lift 60 poundsSolid understanding of equipment systemsKnowledge of CAT ET & SIS, John Deere Service AdvisorWelding when necessarySome mentoring responsibilitiesOperate independently with minimum supervision Working Environment Working hours are typically 40-45 hours per week and range between 7am to 5pm, with occasional evenings and weekendsMajority of work is performed in the shop with constant standing, walking, and reaching Compensation and Benefits Pay: $25.02 - $46.90 per hour(based on qualifications and experience)Comprehensive Medical Insurance plans with low to $0 monthly premiumsAdditional voluntary insurance options include: Dental, Vision, and a wide variety of Supplemental insurances.Flexible Paid Time Off and Sick TimeCompany Paid Life Insurance401(k) options with up to 4% employer matchSee the full list of benefitshere
