Laundry / Housekeeping Aide, you help create a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our residents. Your work directly supports their comfort, dignity, and quality of life.
This is a hands-on position that keeps you moving and working as part of a supportive team.
What You'll Do- Ensure a consistent supply of clean linens for resident care and comfort
- Inspect linens and remove any items that are stained or in disrepair
- Collect resident laundry daily or as needed
- Label new residents' clothing items when necessary
- Sort, treat, wash, dry, and fold clothing and linens
- Deliver clean laundry to resident rooms in a timely manner
- Follow all sanitation and infection control procedures
- Maintain inventory of laundry supplies
- Safely operate industrial washers, dryers, and related equipment
- Report any equipment concerns to the Administrator
Supervisory ResponsibilitiesThis position does not include supervisory duties.
QualificationsEducation and Experience- GED or High School Diploma required
- One year of experience preferred
Skills and Abilities- Ability to read and understand laundry and housekeeping procedures
- Basic math skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to ask for assistance when needed
- Ability to work independently while also being a dependable team member
No certifications required.
Physical RequirementsThis is an active role that involves:
- Standing, walking, lifting, and moving throughout the shift
- Occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds
- Regular use of industrial washers, dryers, and housekeeping equipment
- Frequent bending, reaching, and handling of linens
