Dietary Aide (Part-Time Weekends - Saturdays & Sundays)

General Purpose
Looking for a fast-paced, team-oriented role where you can make a difference every weekend? As a Dietary Aide, you'll play an important part in creating a positive dining experience for our residents. This part-time position is scheduled Saturdays and Sundays, supporting the kitchen team during some of our busiest and most important days. You'll work closely with the Cook and Dietary Supervisor to keep things running smoothly.

Essential Duties
• Learn and follow kitchen and food service routines efficiently
• Set up and organize meal trays for residents
• Clear and break down returned trays; assist with dishwashing
• Support meal service and ensure timely delivery of food
• Operate the dishwasher and monitor proper function
• Check and record dish machine sanitation levels and temperatures
• Prepare snacks and nourishments as needed
• Keep the kitchen clean by sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces
• Take out trash and maintain a clean, safe workspace
• Properly store and organize incoming groceries
• Maintain cleanliness of refrigerators and food prep areas
• Assist the Cook or Dietary Supervisor as needed
• Support team training and help create a collaborative work environment
• Work cooperatively with staff across all departments

Supervisory Responsibilities
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications (Education and/or Experience)
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Language Skills
• Ability to read and follow recipes and procedures
• Ability to communicate clearly with team members and supervisors

Mathematical Skills
• Basic understanding of fractions, measurements, and proportions

Reasoning Ability
• Ability to follow instructions and solve routine problems in a fast-paced environment

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
• Must obtain and maintain a valid Food Handler's Certificate

Physical Demands
This role requires frequent standing, walking, reaching, and lifting (up to 50 pounds). Duties may include pushing, pulling, bending, and occasional kneeling or crouching. Good vision and attention to detail are important for maintaining safety and quality standards.

Work Environment
Work is performed in a kitchen setting with a moderate noise level. The environment is active, especially during meal times, and requires attention to cleanliness and safety at all times.

Pay: $17.50-$20.00 per hour depending on experience and education.
