Description:

The Program Manager- Vendor Management, assigned to one of Pinkerton's largest global clients, will play a critical role in the development and operational delivery of the global vendor management program. This role provides critical support to the client's Head of Vendor Management to develop strategic vendor management capabilities, products, and services within the organization and as directed ensures program objectives, outcomes, and activities are consistently delivered.The Program Manager coordinates and/or participates in vendor management activities across the organization including those focused on strategic-level engagement with senior leadership, internal customers, business functions, and vendors while also leading a team of Pinkerton Dedicated Professionals assigned to support the program delivery. At all times, this position will be expected to "raise the bar" to maintain and establish an effective and efficient vendor management program that responds to organizational and supply-chain-related challenges and opportunities. This position can be located in either Seattle, WA or Arlington, VA.

Essential Functions:

  1. Represent Pinkerton's core values of integrity, vigilance, and excellence.
  2. Support the client to develop a clear and effective vendor management strategy and associated programmatic capability.
  3. Manage the operational delivery of the program ensuring core products, projects, and services are delivered in-full and on-time.
  4. Foster and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure alignment with the client's organizational objectives, quality standards, and service levels.
  5. Establish and maintain mechanisms to continuously assess vendor performance, identify improvement opportunities, and implement action plans to optimize vendor relationships.
  6. Establish and maintain a collaborative approach to managing vendors and supply chains with internal customers.
  7. Establish and maintain mechanisms to mitigate supply-chain/vendor-related risks and enhance the overall resilience of the client's supply-chain.
  8. Provide regular reporting and analysis to executive leadership on supply chain performance and business outcomes.
  9. Drive consistent program performance in relation to formal business and program metrics and targets.
  10. Directly inform and/or develop internal policies and standards related to supply chain operations.
  11. Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, and Quality Assurance teams to ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards.
  12. Lead, manage, mentor, and support a team of embedded contingent workers of multiple role types.
  13. Oversee the contingent worker program and ensure the efficient and compliant onboarding, management, and offboarding of temporary staff.
  14. Collaborate with HR, Finance, Procurement and Compliance teams to streamline the contingent worker process, ensure cost-effectiveness, and compliance with labor regulations.
  15. Monitor and assess the utilization of contingent workers to maximize their contribution to business objectives.
  16. Lead and support various business optimization initiatives aimed at enhancing supply chain efficiency, reduce risk and/or costs, and improve overall business outcomes.
  17. Continuously review and collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for process improvement, operational efficiency, and implementation of best practices.

Education, Experience, and Certifications:

Bachelor's degree in supply chain management or business operations with seven years of supply chain or outsourced service management and strategic planning experience within a regional or global corporate environment. Salary & Benefits Information:
Rate of pay: $150000 - 170000 / year.
