We’re currently seeking a Purchasing Expediter to play a key role in keeping our production running smoothly. In this critical position, you'll serve as the vital link between suppliers and internal teams—ensuring that materials, products, and supplies are delivered on time to support our operations.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Monitor open purchase orders and follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Communicate with vendors regarding order status, shipping schedules, and potential delays.
  • Coordinate with internal departments (e.g., production, inventory, receiving) to align delivery schedules with business needs.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in orders, invoices, and deliveries.
  • Maintain accurate records of all communications, changes, and updates related to purchase orders.
  • Assist the purchasing team with order processing and vendor performance tracking.
  • Work closely with logistics and warehouse personnel to ensure goods are received and processed efficiently.
  • Assist or help generate/analyze reports to identify supply chain bottlenecks or risks
  • Source and purchase materials, parts, and supplies required for production and operations.
  • Communicate effectively with internal departments and external suppliers to manage purchase orders and resolve issues.
  • Negotiate pricing, lead times, and terms with suppliers to ensure cost-effective procurement.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory using Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
  • Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong supplier relationships.
  • Assist with material planning and expediting to meet production schedules.
  • Identify and resolve supply chain or quality issues through database-driven problem-solving techniques.
  • Document processes and procedures to support continuous improvement and audit readiness.
  • Support inventory management and forecasting activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project and production goals.

Required Skills / Abilities:

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) is a plus.
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or higher in business, supply chain, or related field preferred.
  • 1–3 years of experience in procurement, logistics, or supply chain support.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Frequent use of hands for typing, writing, and handling paperwork.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.
  • Occasional standing, walking, bending, or reaching as required to perform tasks.
  • May occasionally lift or move items up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to visit and move around warehouse or production areas, which may involve exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, and safety hazards (PPE may be required).

Additional Job Information:

  • Wage Expectations: $22.00 - $35.00 per hour
  • Pay: This is a non-exempt, hourly position and employees are paid on a bi-weekly basis
  • Typical Schedule: Five (5) Eight (8) hour days M-F
  • Location: On Site – 20812 Broadway Ave; Snohomish, WA 98296
  • Travel: Very minimal to none
