SUMMARY: Associate Systems Administrator (Data Center) for the Nintendo Technology Development Inc. (NTD) organization will be responsible for keeping our mission-critical system infrastructure running smoothly and efficiently. In this role, you will install and maintain hardware, manage inventory, and troubleshoot a variety of systems across our labs and data centers. This includes everything from desktops, servers and cables to networking equipment. You will provide technical support to users, document procedures, and make recommendations for system upgrades and improvements.
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: - Install, provision and repair lab and data center hardware (servers, desktops, storage nodes, networking gear, UPSs, PDUs, etc.). Responsible for maintaining overall readiness and upkeep of the lab / data center space.
- Handle basic networking and cable management - Fiber, twinax, ethernet, serial, wifi, etc.
- Conduct intermediate OS software configuration and installation - Windows, OSX, Linux, etc.
- Manage lab / data center inventory, order supplies, responsible for shipping and receiving equipment, track warranty and returns, update inventory tracking database.
- Troubleshoot lab / data center hardware issues and employ out-of-band (OOB) management configurations and techniques.
- Utilize hardware orchestration tools like MAAS, Landscape etc. for Linux servers.
- Provide network support, including setting up line connections, line tracing, port configuration, and switch management.
- Work closely with other NTD System Administrators/Engineers to provide escalation support for troubleshooting.
