The role of the Wellbeing Specialist is to deliver the wellbeing strategy for the organisation, ensuring that our employees are supported in safety, physical, mental and financial health, throughout their journey with Maximus.

Understand colleague and organisational needs to design, implement and manage initiatives that address and align to wellbeing priorities and our growth agenda. Use data and insight to monitor effectiveness of wellbeing initiatives and programmes, to continuously improve our wellbeing offering and identify new areas to enhance employee productivity, morale, and overall health.

Champion wellbeing across the organisation, creating content and resources that are accessible, relevant and effective across our diverse employee groups.

1. Drive the delivery and continuous improvement of existing wellbeing programs, including financial wellbeing, Employee Assistance Programs (EAP), safety initiatives, mental health initiatives, and physical health programs. Own and lead new initiatives, working collaboratively across the business, to ensure programmes are embedded, monitored through data and technology, and deliver improvement across our employee's safeguarding, physical, mental and financial health. Work closely with the wider wellbeing team across safety and occupational health to ensure initiatives are in line with legislation, industry standards and accreditations.

2. Work with the wider wellbeing and people team, colleagues and managers to understand priorities and focus areas where workplace pressures are evident. Design and deliver interventions to reduce and embed solutions to improve absenteeism and attrition and improve overall wellbeing. Empower managers and colleagues to take ownership of their wellbeing and integrate wellbeing practise into their daily routines.

3. Champion a wellbeing and safety culture across the organisation, developing content and resource to educate and raise awareness on wellbeing services and reduce stigma around mental health, financial wellbeing and physical health. Working closely with the People engagement team to deliver impactful messaging and regular cadence.

Ensure compliance with relevant health, safety and employment legislation and that policies align to wellbeing and safeguarding objectives.

5. Leverage technology and innovation to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of wellbeing programs. Identify new tools, apps, or digital platforms that can support wellbeing, and enhance service delivery or opportunities to make better use of existing technologies.

6. Build and maintain external networks with wellbeing professionals, industry bodies and thought leaders to stay at the forefront of industry best practise, trends and innovations to continuously enhance our wellbeing initiatives and effectiveness.
