Facilities Maintenance Swing Shift Phat Panda | Own the Evening, Set Up Tomorrow Location Spokane Valley, WA Pay $19.00$21.00 per hour, depending on experience Shift Swing Shift Full-Time, 40 hours/week Department Facilities Reports To Maintenance Manager THE OPPORTUNITY When the day crew heads home, our facility keeps moving and so do you. Phat Panda is adding a swing shift member to our Facilities Maintenance team to handle repairs, preventive maintenance, and urgent fixes during the afternoon and evening hours. You'll often be the go-to person on site for keeping equipment and building systems up and running, so this is a great fit for a self-starter who can diagnose a problem, make a plan, and see it through. YOUR DAY-TO-DAY Repairs & Troubleshooting: Track down the root cause of mechanical breakdowns and get equipment back in service, including emergency fixes that cant wait until morning. Preventive Maintenance: Work through scheduled maintenance on production and inventory workstations, adjusting and servicing parts before small issues turn into downtime. Plumbing & Fabrication: Cut, fit, and repair PVC, ABS, and PEX lines, and assemble non-welded steel components. Carpentry & Builds: Take on basic framing and carpentry projects using work orders, drawings, and blueprints as your guide. Work Orders & Reporting: Log your work, update project plans in our maintenance tracking tools, and leave clear notes so the day shift knows exactly where things stand. Supplies & Estimates: Estimate materials for upcoming jobs and help keep the shop stocked within approved purchasing limits. Grounds & Exterior: Keep parking areas, walkways, and the facility exterior clean and safe. R& D Support: Lend your skills to Research & Development projects when they come up. WHO WERE LOOKING FOR Age: 21 or older required for all employees under Washington I-502 rules. Education: High school diploma or GED. Hands-On Background: Experience in maintenance, construction, or general labor is preferred. Independent Problem-Solver: Comfortable prioritizing on the fly, switching to urgent issues, and making sound calls without someone looking over your shoulder. Tech Basics: Able to use spreadsheets, word processing, and labeling equipment, and to communicate clearly in writing and in person. Physical Requirements: Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds; stand, walk, climb ladders, crouch, and crawl throughout the shift; see clearly at 20+ feet (corrective lenses OK) and tell colors apart. Work Environment: Comfortable around moderate to loud noise, dust and fumes, and occasional chemical exposure, with proper safety precautions.
