About the Role:

The Cook plays a key role in delivering high‑quality food and exceptional service. Working closely with the Head Chef and Management, this role is responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes to a high standard while maintaining a safe, efficient, and hygienic kitchen environment. The Cook also supports kitchen operations, contributes to a positive team culture, and ensures all food handling and safety procedures are consistently followed.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and serve food to quality standards.
• Assist with food preparation across kitchen stations.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic workspace.
• Operate kitchen equipment and dishwashing areas.
• Minimise wastage and check ingredient quality.
• Follow all SOPs, hotel policies, and OH& S guidelines.
• Support training and supervision of staff when required.
• Maintain professional grooming and positive team relationships.
• Monitor stock levels and ensure proper food storage.
• Complete additional tasks as directed by Management.

Skills & Experience

• Experience in a commercial kitchen or similar cook role.
• Strong food preparation and safe‑food‑handling knowledge.
• Understanding of kitchen hygiene and OH& S standards.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable, organised, and able to follow instructions.
• Willingness to learn and support training of others when needed.
