Pioneers behind the philosophy of ‘expect the unexpected’, every property delivers an experience that combines local influence with QT’s signature quirk. And our people? With personalities as diverse as each property, individuality is more than encouraged.

About the Role:

As Assistant Venue Manager at QT Perth, you’ll deliver first-class customer service with passion, style, and flair — all in line with EVT standards and policies. Working closely with the Venue Manager, you’ll lead and inspire a team across multiple outlets, ensuring smooth daily operations, outstanding guest experiences, and strong financial performance.
This is a hands-on leadership role that spans our diverse food and beverage offerings, including Rooftop at QT, Santini Bar & Grill, Dining & Deli, C& E, IRD, and QT Café. You’ll oversee service delivery, team development, and compliance, while supporting innovation and activations to drive revenue and elevate our guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate daily operations across assigned outlets, ensuring service excellence and compliance with health, safety, and licensing requirements.
  • Lead, develop, and motivate a team of around 40 staff, including full-time and casual team members.
  • Support the Venue Manager in recruitment, training, rostering, and performance management.
  • Deliver strong financial outcomes by managing wages, COGS, and stock control while maximizing revenue and profit through analysis, innovation, and events.
  • Champion customer service standards, ensuring all team members are inducted, trained, and supported to deliver consistent and memorable guest experiences.
  • Oversee liquor licensing compliance, cash handling, POS reporting, and variance investigations.
  • Curate and maintain bar menus, stock management, and supplier contracts in collaboration with the Bars and F& B Managers.
  • Act as a hands-on leader across outlets, taking ownership of service delivery from set-up to pack-down.

Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience in a Restaurant Manager, Assistant Venue Manager, or Senior Supervisor role within a premium hospitality environment.
  • Strong wine knowledge is highly desirable; experience as a Sommelier or Senior Somm will be highly regarded.
  • Proven ability to manage multi-outlet or large-scale operations, ideally across restaurants, bars, and room service.
  • Demonstrated skills in team leadership, training, and people development.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, labour costs, and COGS.
  • Excellent knowledge of liquor licensing, RSA compliance, and hospitality regulations.
  • A passion for creating unforgettable guest experiences with a proactive and motivated approach.

Benefits & Perks:

  • Incredible team member discounts from your first day on-the-job.
  • 50% off stays at EVT hotels – Rydges, QT, Atura, Lylo and more.
  • $2 movie tickets, plus Moonlight, Gold Class, Candy Bar discounts and more.
  • Awesome winter and summer savings and discounts at Thredbo.
  • Rapid career growth opportunities through our EVT network.
  • Local community involvement, volunteering and charitable giving.
  • Australia and NZ’s largest and most diverse experiences company
