Description:
The Dimensional Management Engineer, in the Plastics Product Development group, is responsible for providing technical engineering and dimensional management input and direction to both internal ConMet engineering teams as well as customer engineering teams to ensure robust and manufacturable solutions for ConMet and Customer product designs. This role is responsible for reviewing customer and internal dimensional and Fit & Finish requirements, completing tolerance stack analysis, and providing feedback and recommendations on datum schemes, assembly locating strategies, and overall GD& T and dimensioning and tolerancing strategy to achieve the target requirements. The Dimensional Management Engineer must have strong engineering knowledge, IM Plastic manufacturing processes and capabilities, an expert level understanding of GD& T per ASME Y14.5 and strong communication skills to explain technical details pertaining to dimensional requirements to internal and external customers.
This role requires working in an office environment (not hybrid or remote) at ConMet's corporate headquarters in Vancouver, Washington. Non-local candidates must be open to relocation (relocation assistance available).
