JOB TITLE: Human Resources Coordinator |
REPORTS TO: HR Manager |
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt (Hourly) |
HOURLY PAY RANGE: $25.00-$28.00 |
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
- Uphold the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
- Perform periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
- Enter new hire data into the HR Information System (HRIS) and maintain accurate records of active job openings and received applications.
- Manage internal and external job postings.
- Answer frequently asked questions from applicants and employees regarding standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc., and refer more complex questions to senior-level HR staff or management.
- Schedule, organize materials, and conduct new hire orientation. Assist with onboarding activities such as background checks, fingerprint appointments, and I-9 verification.
- Support the benefits enrollment process, prepare new employee benefit files, update benefit materials as needed, and assist with open enrollment.
- Assist with recruitment activities, including creating job posts, coordinating/scheduling interviews, and pre-screening candidates. Conduct interviews of hourly staff in the absence of the hiring manager.
- Conduct exit interviews with departing employees.
- Process badge applications for new employees, renewals for current employees, and termination of badge access for exiting employees in compliance with airport requirements.
- Assist with various administrative tasks, including office supplies management, special projects, and other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:
Education:
· A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is typically required.
· Certifications (Optional): Professional certifications such as PHR (Professional in Human Resources) or SHRM-CP (Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional) can be advantageous.
Experience:
· 1-3 years of experience in a human resources role or a related administrative position is often preferred.
· Experience with HR Information Systems (HRIS) and other HR-related software.
· Experience in recruitment processes, including job postings, resume screening, and conducting interviews, as well as onboarding new employees.
· Familiarity with benefits administration, including enrollment processes and handling employee inquiries.
· Experience in handling employee relations and providing support for HR-related inquiries.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge
- Understanding of human resources principles, practices, and procedures.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Proficiency with HR Information Systems (HRIS) and other HR-related software.
- Familiarity with recruitment processes, onboarding procedures, and employee lifecycle management.
- Understanding of benefits programs and enrollment processes.
Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and interact professionally with employees at all levels.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software.
