Psychiatric Technician to join our dedicated inpatient care team at our
Evaluation & Treatment (E& T) Facility in
Mukilteo, WA. This role is ideal for candidates with a healthcare background-such as EMTs, CNAs, or behavioral health support staff-who are passionate about supporting individuals in psychiatric crisis.
About the Evaluation & Treatment Facility Our
E& T Facility provides short-term, inpatient psychiatric care for adults experiencing mental health emergencies. Staffed 24/7, the facility offers a safe, supportive environment for stabilization, assessment, and treatment. You'll work alongside a multidisciplinary team committed to helping clients regain emotional and psychological stability.
What You Will Do As a
Psychiatric Technician, you'll play a key role in providing compassionate care and supportive services to clients, including:
- Assisting with behavioral observation, de-escalation, and safety monitoring
- Supporting clients with basic care needs and life skills
- Leading or co-facilitating recreational, vocational, or psychoeducational activities
- Assisting with admissions, discharges, and client transitions
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and structured milieu
- Collaborating with clinicians, nurses, and prescribers in treatment planning
- Accurately documenting client behaviors and progress in electronic health records
What You Will Bring - High School Diploma or equivalent required; AA or BA in a behavioral health-related field preferred
- 2 years of relevant healthcare or behavioral health experience
- Must obtain Agency Affiliated Counselor status through WA DOH upon hire (if not already credentialed)
- Current First Aid & CPR certification and Food Handler's permit (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
- Ability to pass pre-employment criminal background check

- Strong interpersonal, communication, and crisis intervention skills
- Ability to stay calm and solution-focused in challenging situations
- Proficient with electronic medical record systems (EMR)
- Organized and adaptable within a fast-paced inpatient environment
