About the Role
The Assistant Clinical Nurse Manager provides clinical and administrative management of the facility. This role is responsible for day-to-day operations including staff supervision, facility admissions, and discharges under the supervision of the Triage Clinical Nurse Manager. This position also participates in a 24/7 on-call rotation to ensure consistent support and oversight.
Key Responsibilities
- Enforce all applicable building, health, fire, and safety standards.
- Ensure all assessments and treatment planning comply with agency guidelines.
- Lead cross-functional teams to drive operational and clinical improvements.
- Assist the Clinical Nurse Manager with budget development, monitoring, and policy/procedure updates.
- Collaborate with leadership to implement improvements based on client satisfaction surveys, outcome data, and quality indicators.
- Supervise and evaluate staff in coordination with the Clinical Nurse Manager and PSS.
- Ensure utilization management of services delivered at the facility.
- Participate in scheduled supervision and team meetings.
- Uphold ethical and professional standards, HIPAA, and agency policies.

What You Bring
- Current Washington State RN license required.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
- Must qualify as a Mental Health Professional (MHP) as defined by WAC.
- 3 years of psychiatric experience preferred.
- 2 years of supervisory/management experience preferred.
- Current First Aid & CPR certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days).
- Valid Washington State Driver's License, reliable vehicle, and insurance.
Skills & Abilities - Strong crisis intervention and consultation skills.
- Ability to work with individuals with complex needs and multi-system involvement.
- Positive, solution-focused approach when handling challenges.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- General computer proficiency and EMR system familiarity.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment criminal background check.

Physical Demands / Work Environment
The employee will be working in a Triage facility and must be able to physically participate in managing aggressive behavior from patients. While performing the duties of this job, the employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, and use close vision. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
